Universal Banker/Teller 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Including, but not limited to:

  • Accepting and accurately processing checking/savings deposits and loan payments.
  • Cashing checks, processing savings withdrawals requests, cash advances.
  • Assisting customers whenever possible with everyday questions or concerns regarding their accounts. For issues that cannot be resolved at the teller line it is important to make sure the customer is seamlessly handed off to the proper service area.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory guidance.
  • Balance cash drawer in accordance with Bank procedures including but not limited to following procedures for appropriate drawer limits, buying and selling to the vault, batching cashed checks, etc.
  • Assist customers in accessing safety deposit boxes.
  • Open new accounts.
  • May be responsible for bank opening and/or closing.
  • Will be required to work Saturdays.
  • Promote bank products and services.
  • Assist customers with services such as debit card ordering, check ordering, online/mobile banking setup etc.
  • Assist customer in acquiring additional products such as cashier's checks, personal money orders.
  • Must maintain the highest level of confidentiality in regards to all customer and company information.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Loan Administration 

The Loan Administration position will report to the Vice President/Loan Administration Manager. The primary responsibilities of this position will include supporting several loan processing functions. This may include scanning loan documents, payoffs, payments, draws, lien releases and records filing.

Position will be responsible for loan documents for commercial, real estate, and consumer loans. This will include document preparation, funding and boarding the loan.

This position will work with lenders and customers on various loan questions. This could include payments, payoffs, balances and other issues.

As a member of the loan operations department, this position will help as needed.

Accountabilities:

Loan Processing:

  • Provide loan processing support for the Loan Department. This will involve loan documentation preparation, regulation reporting and filing, loan funding, and understanding of loan procedures.
  • Handle incoming customer calls to help solve customer problems during loan origination and on an ongoing basis.
  • Will make payment books for customers as needed.
  • Process loan payments.

Loan Servicing:

  • Responsible for processing and filing insurance policies and lien cards.
  • Answering questions and concerns of insurance.
  • Answer customer questions that arise during the loan process and on an on-going basis thereafter.
  • Filing of credit and collateral documents.
  • Answer routine customer questions that arise during the loan servicing process. This can include insurance, taxes, payments, payoff and other items.

Other:

  • As part of the overall Bank Of Weston’s team of employees, this position may be requested to assist in the support of other bank activities. This may include attending out of office bank events, Missouri Bankers Association regulation updates, webinar updates, and meetings at different bank locations.

  • Must be able to communicate thoughts clearly, both orally and written. Must be able to communicate with customers and throughout the organization and to all levels of staff.

  • Project a positive image of the bank to all internal and external customers.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks to effectively manage one's time to compete work according to established deadlines.

  • High School diploma or equivalent, four-year degree preferred, with additional education and experience in financial or business services.
  • Two to three years of office experience, with emphasis in banking, finance or commercial lending desired.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills needed. Must be able to make accurate mathematical calculations and carry out detailed written, oral directions and procedures and be able to properly handle confidential materials and information.
  • This job requires skills needed in a typical office environment. This includes Microsoft Word and Excel skills, as well as utilization of office equipment, accurate typing of at least 50 w.p.m. and 10-key calculator skills.
  • Must have ability to function well under pressure.
